Hello Beautiful People!

As we approach the end of 2024, I find myself reflecting on a year that felt like a thousand-piece puzzle. Imagine starting with the expectation of assembling a serene picnic scene, only to discover partway through that the pieces are forming something entirely different—a breathtaking Grand Canyon sunrise. Both are poignant and beautiful in their own ways, but the shift can be disorienting, especially when you’re set on one vision.

This year was strange—a swirl of challenges, revelations, and transformations. Maybe it’s because I turned 46, with all the existential musings (and perimenopause) that milestone brings. Or maybe it’s the nature of life’s ebb and flow. For any or all of these reasons, 2024 became a year of dismantling and rebuilding both in my personal and professional life.

Looking back, I realize that this feeling isn’t entirely new. My 2024 mirrored the seasons of 2005, 2014, and 2019—times when I took bold risks and embarked on new paths. Those were my building phases, the times when I dared to lay new foundations, even if the ground beneath felt shaky. They weren’t without difficulty, but they reminded me that growth isn’t linear or easy.

Growth is messy, unpredictable, and often uncomfortable—just as life intends it to be. With every piece of the puzzle that felt “wrong,” I was learning, adapting, and shifting perspectives. I came to realize that the picture I thought I wanted wasn’t necessarily the one I needed.

And now, as 2024 comes to a close, I feel more awake and alive than I have in years. The dormant energies that once held me back are gone, replaced with clarity and determination.

As we all reflect on our journeys, I want to acknowledge the strength it takes to face the unexpected. To all of you who navigated your own challenges, to those who managed, persevered, and survived—I see you. Let’s take a moment to honour the grit and resilience it took to get here.

May 2025 be our year of action, achievement, and acknowledgment. Let it be the year we put the finishing touches on our evolving masterpiece, even if it looks nothing like we expected.
